Lake Shore Drive

This week Pretty Green dropped the opening of their AW17 Pre-Collection, now I say AW17 Pre-Collection, but they haven't really promoted the range so I am just guessing as this would fit their standard timeline-ish.

The range has slowly been appearing at retailers over the past couple of weeks so we'd seen quite a lot of the pieces already, and indeed seen some pieces that aren't available direct as yet.

A little look through some pick outs from this opening salvo...

Up first and some Safari Jacket vibes on this collared field coat design. Very reminiscent of a previous Black Label design, given a fresh update on Green Label. Simple and classic, one of the better GL styles for their Outerwear

Straight up Starsky and Hutch 70's vibes on the new tan suede jacket. Suede isn't always the ideal material for the UK Summer months, but there is no denying the cool of this one. Sounds also if PG have returned to decking these out with a lining, which is good news

Yeah baby, who doesn't love a bit of floral paisley madness? PG love a printed shirt style, and they've gone balls to the walls on this one, just superb. I can't think I buy many purple pieces, but this could well be a contender.

Purple Haze reigns in the returning Carver polo edged with the new Beaufort floral paisley, not a style that has ever really caught my eye in the past, that all changes now with this....funny how a simple thing like a change of colour can make something suddenly appealing

Now we're talking, some Modernist Serie A stylings. No doubt this top exhibits some Mod stylings, the colour also suggest a slight leaning towards U.S Città di Palermo more famous as a Serie A (or B) team. Strangely the other colour option resembles Calcio Catania...

A number of brands have copied the Fred Perry Wiggo retro cycling shirt design, and PG have never been ashamed of a piece of plagiarism. First spotted last year the style is back for AW17 and still looking very sharp. No frills, no fuss, just a straight up proper cool look.

PG have posted some images from the range without much commentary behind them....

Hopefully more to look forward as nice as these pieces...
