I Believe In All
Saturday night's on the way, so you've got 2 choices.... a 12 case of Peroni in the fridge and a night in with Ant & Dec, or pull on some fresh cloth and hit the local with your nearest and dearest or the clan.
If you're heading out then you want to sharpen up, it is Saturday after all...but you don't want to go too formal, a post midnight kebab and falling down might well be in your plans.
Pretty Green have dropped a load of new gear in recent weeks, and ye know what, it's pretty damn good. Now I'm not telling you how to dress, just chucking some ideas your way....just run with it, no pressure.
Top Warmth - you'll need a coat, because you know, it's still bloody freezing. But as you'll be jumping a joe maxi to the pub the winter Parka can stay behind and you can pull on something a little smarter. How about the new Mayfair Trench? Go on, admit it, it's pretty smart isn't it. PG have taken the standard Trench template and added their signature chest strap to add a little SS16 punch. Works pretty well I reckon and it's a piece that is catching eyes. I'm avoiding all PG stores at the moment as I'd end up leaving with this.
Paisley Time - you should always wear a scarf, scarves are cool. Keep the neck warm with one of the new scarves dropped this week. Paisley always works for me and the new ones look sharp enough for a weekend pub amble.
Rock Star Cool - now then, this piece could be contenious, I can see from comments we have another marmite piece on our hands here. I'm a fan, I like a floral shirt and this is a belter. There's no doubt it has the rock star cool that would see Bobby Gillespie happily crack it with style. Be different, stand out, it's all about the wearer....give the haters something to talk about.
If you love it get it smacked on, don't be a pussy, wear what you love.
Go on, get a Ryecroft on your back...
Leg It - seeing as it's a Saturday night lets sharpen up a little without having to look for a razor sharp crease. Chinos will fit the bill to lift things up a notch from some nice denim.
Anchored - seal the deal by anchoring it all with some smart new footwear. Adding a bit of lightness to things with the Gresham Weave boot. It's going to be an evening of merriment, so the tan option rather than the bone ones, lager spills should show up less on the tan ones, yeah? A nice new style from PG, good to see their footwear range really starting to expand and bring in new ideas. And tan always works well paired off with navy.
It's still early on Saturday, so you've got plenty time to load up on a cuppa and bacon rolls, amble into town, hit a PG store to add a new essential to the collection to gleam up your Saturday night out, grab some chat with the local PG staff and tune into the store sounds to soundtrack the weekend....
Have a good one, Peace&Love, theSub
