Having reached and breached their first Birthday Real Stars Are Rare are getting ready to drop their third collection on us. The Label was born out of ideas over shared coffee and cake between Modernist Paul Weller and Portobello stalwart Phil Bickley. The early chat was some tops and shirts, enthusiasm saw that thinking grow into a full range.
The two collections so far have concentrated on simple straight forward thinking, classic clothing made from great materials that are cut and made well. This is clothing for your best, your number one style. Sunday Style if you will....
Not very much is known about Collection 3 so far, other than the odd teaser on the Real Stars instagram feed and little glimpses on recent brand videos.
The outstandingly cool Star Knit looks to be back, slightly tweaked with the Star logo now outlined in a third colour.
Shirting has been a big thing so far for Real Stars, with both Paul and Phil having a meticulous eye for detail and a real sense of what they want. On the latest videos there looked to be a new bespoke paisley pattern, definitely one to look out for. I've even heard talk of the Real Star star being incorporated in there somewhere, so we'll see.
In a recent article for The Sunday Times Paul and his son Nat stepped out in some smart pieces. Nat was sharp in a classic suit while Paul was weekend cool in a superb green knit, strides and with something interesting in his hand....a hat.!
Paul's green jumper looks to be a stand out piece, with a reassurance of great materials this could be one to invest in. On the recent videos and instagram a cool roll neck was also glimpsed, again assured of the best materials this is the one I am looking out for.
It seems that Real Stars have collaborated with BySju, a new hat brand from London, I'm not a hat wearer personally, unless it's some Guernsey wool on a really frosty day. But headwear is increasingly popular these days so this will be an interesting one to watch.

It's far too early to start being demanding of a new brand, but in various conversations on the page there are a few peices a few folks would love to see come out. Myself, I'd love to see a scarf, I love my scarves, wear them whenever I can,...so that's the one for me.
So for now we wait on the launch, with baited breath and wallets at the ready
