CHPT3 SS19
After the announcement of a new incoming casual collection from CHPT3 yesterday it was a very pleasant surprise today to see the new technical range unveiled by Castelli.
For those who are unaware, David Millar and Castelli work closely together to produce the technical pieces in the ranges, allowing the lack of corporate mayhem to give them freedom to design what they want! Doing things to make the best product as opposed to carry a name for a price.
The ranges so far really have been rather excellent, so many highlights to pick out. It's not clear what the entire range will be so for now we'll just enjoy this opening salvo and await any further drops with baited breath. In the recent Brompton collab video there was hints to the Fila collaboration we dream of after spotting David himself wearing items, as well as what looked like some new Outerwear that displayed the CHPT3 marque on the tail.
CHPT3 also provide an excellent insight into their thinking and backstories for their ranges, looking forward to reading about the brain whirrings behind these.
This time the Spring Classic of Milan-San Remo is buried deep in the design, the dark greys of Milan cut through with blues, green and yellows to represent the views as the race winds the coast into town. There's almost something of an 80's celebration in the heavy graphics of the design, sure they won't mind my link to an old Now That's What I Call Music record sleeve.
MSR is the tag for the capsule, and it's looking mighty fine.
The new Girona jersey is just superb, loving the MSR pieces, and those new baselayers are definitely in the shopping wish list. Can't wait to see if there's more.
