This truly unique opportunity will take you inside the beating heart of Girona and home of CHPT3 as you join David Millar out on the road for three unforgettable days of riding in the cycling capital of the world.
When the cycling's done, we'll help you to wind down with luxury evening meals hosted at the CHPT3 design studio in the city's old town before you head back to your 4* hotel and rest the legs. Your trip will culminate in a live screening of the 2019 Paris-Roubaix race, joined once again by race veteran and TV commentator, David Millar for a viewing experience that can't be replicated. Oh, and did we mention that you'll be riding on your very own Factor O2 OML bike? The very same bike that's been raced in both the Tour de France and Paris-Roubaix. We'll help you to pack your new pride and joy away before you head home together.
Not bad eh! If that fits your bill, and you have the dirty cash the follow the linky to get yourself booked in for a once in a lifetime chance.
Here's some more technical details of the 3 days, man it looks good
DAY 1: Friday 12th April We roll out of town soon hitting the lower slopes of Els Angels, an 11km gentle climb leading up to the church where we will take a quick look at the views. Mountains to one side and the Med to the other. Descending down we will pass through Madremanya and head through Monells and La Bisbal towards the coast, from there we hit the stunning corniche and the roads of the 2009 Tour de France, the very section where David Millar attacked and broke away from the peloton. We leave the coast and climb over Sant Grau, then drop down into the Girona valley and head back "home". Distance: TBC Elevation: TBC That evening we will dine at the CHPT3 design studio where representatives from Costa Brava Tourism are going to host us with local specialities and food and wine with accompanying stories from the region. DAY 2: Saturday 13th April A trip to Girona is not complete without climbing one of it most famous peaks, the infamous Rocacorba. This climb is steeped in history as a climb the Tour de France winners used as a final test to judge their form before heading off to the Grand Boucle. Being a founder of the Velo Club Rocacorba, the climb holds a special spot in the heart of David, as he spent many a training ride grinding out efforts on its relentless slopes. Suffering does bring reward however as we will be served a cup of Cava and some buttery jamon iberico at the summit while taking in the views of the Banyoles lake below. Once again we'll be dining at the CHPT3 design studio, this time hosted by a local chef with a specially prepared menu with local wines that will cater for our depleted energy levels. Distance: 73km Elevation: 1518m DAY 3: Sunday 14th April (Paris-Roubaix Day..!) It's Paris Roubaix race day, although we'll be over a 1000km directly south that's not going to stop us soaking it up. In the morning we will all adorn our OML kit, paying homage to the greatest of the Classics, and leave town on a specially organised Roubaix themed ride. Our partner store in Girona, Eat Sleep Cycle, are taking this very seriously and won't be revealing anything until the day but rest assured nothing we encounter will trouble the severity of the Arenberg's cobbles. Once the ride is done make your way over in your own time to Eat Sleep Cycle's store where we will all spectate and enjoy the atmosphere of watching Paris Roubaix with food and beers served throughout. A special experience we're sure you'll agree, watching the race with someone who's experienced it first hand and who has now turned his profession to commentating on bike racing. Get all your questions answered, real time. Distance: TBC Elevation: TBC
