Altura Nightvision Thunderstorm Jacket

Without doubt, one of the best jackets I've seen this year, an absolute belter.

At first glance it could be any other commuter style waterproof jacket out there, nothing to see here, move along....

Then you shine a light on it, and boom, huge panels of reflective material pick you out. Without doubt, one of the best jackets you are ever going to spend money that will help keep you safe in the darker days of Winter.

£129 isn't bad at all for a jacket that is fully waterproof and hosts an impressive array of features, such as removable hood, adjustable cuffs, scooped rear, taped seams and underarm ventilation.

The USP is the placement of the reflective panels. In normal daylight, looks like a standard jacket, with light on it the jacket suddenly comes alive. The panel placement has been chosen to provide maximum reflecting coverage even when you have a backpack on. Panelling covers the chest and shoulders, as well as the rear of the back.

Just genius really.

And ye know what, it's a nice looking piece of kit.
