Frahm Harrington Racer Jacket

While I'm on the topic of Vulpine let's take a look at the new brand started up by the original brains behind the brand, and his new collection coming under the Frahm banner.

Vulpine Outerwear was held in extremely high regard, they were well made and importantly, they looked good. Nick Hussey has carried this straight forward concept into his new offering, which will focus on the production of high-end Jackets only, no other flab in the range. Great Jackets, Quality material, well made.

The second piece in the collection is a contemporary take on the classic Steve McQueen approved Harrington Jacket.

While the basic design is a hard one to get wrong, it's a classic for a reason, and Frahm aim to elevate theirs a little from the run of the mill. The Frahm take on this heritage style adds some quality elements.

The outer material is made from one of the best the UK has to offer, waxed cotton from the geniuses at Millerain. I have a number of jackets featuring this material, and it is no surprise that brands continue to seek this fabric for their ranges.

There are lots of other smart pieces of details in the design, as well keeping things cool with quality components such as YKK zips.

There is no doubt that Nick's cycling background is woven through this new piece, clearly designed as an action jacket to be invested in for a long life. It's not a straight on Urban Cycling design, there is no attempt to sell this as cycling kit. It is however designed for activity, and will lend itself well to city rides, cafe rides, Sunday rides, etc.....

Head over to Frahm to check out the range
