Rapha Explore Cargo Winter Tights

Now this is one I'd been looking forward to since they were teased in the season preview from Rapha. Winter tights with pockets seems like an entirely sensible idea doesn't it. You always need more bits and pieces with you on a Winter ride, as well as more fuel.

It's a classic Rapha tight, except it's not. The look remains the same but the design and tech has moved on. We get a redesigned calf section with reflective material, as well as some Brevet styling.

The material is fleece-backed and then treated with a water repellent application to make these perfect for the worst of Winter.

They do look really exceptional.

Three pockets have been added on, one on each thigh and one on the back. The left leg features a zip to keep the most valuable of valuable safe on your ride. The rear features both a zipped pocket and a mesh stretch pocket, so ample room for storage on top of the storage in your jersey.

These are designed for the newly christened 'adventure' riding, which for me is simply what I thought of as touring previously.

Quite pricey, £240, but lots of tech squeezed into there and ye know, they are Rapha and premium comes with a price tag.
