CHPT3 Origin 1.62 Jersey/Jacket

We're back to CHPT3 a little quicker than anticipated, they teased at new gear this week and we got the rather epic latest colourway of the JJ, that'll be the Jersey/Jacket to you and I.

CHPT3 founder David Millar, has done a nice video showcasing this piece in its launch colour, I'll link that out down the bottom. For AW18 the paint pot has been retrieved and we get a really rather cool looking Black version.

It's neither a Jersey nor a Jacket, and we'll not get into Shacket territory....

In appearance it sort of looks like a scuba jacket I guess. The sort of gear Commander James Bond would whip off at the top of Ventoux to reveal his snow white Tux before embarking on his mission, ending with not a single hair out of place.

This is a definite Winter staple with a very clever design. A foam core has been used that is then layered with a3-ply fabric over this core. The aim being to give great temperature regulation over a really wide range.

Detail wise you get an interesting, and practical, cuff design, pocket, etc. It is CHPT3 after all.

Pricey, but this is a piece with a very considered design, put together by the brand that know how to pull this off, with CHPT3 relying on the Italian experts Castelli for their technical kit. As cool as this is it is primarily designed to be a functional piece of tech kit, and it absolutely is.
