Le Coq Sportif Tour De France 2018 Jerseys
Le Coq Sportif unveiled their new Winners Jerseys for the 2018 edition of the Tour De France.
The colours of course are no surprise to anyone. It must be quite a tricky challenge for the designer on these, so much of the look is already pre-prescribed it leaves little space for any flourishes or new directions.
This new version is given a subtle block pattern to lift them out from previous years, as explained over a the LCS
"For this 2018 edition, the four leader jerseys incorporate a reference to the past. Their design is inspired by a mythical Tour de France jersey – the combination jersey –, which made its first appearance in 1968. It rewarded the best all-rounder, the rider most at ease on every terrain. The Mondrian style pattern of the different leader jerseys first appeared on this jersey in 1985. It is this structure which creates the common theme of the visual construction of these four jerseys. So, the one for the leader of the general classification in 2018 comes in shades of yellow."
It's not very easy to see the pattern woven on these, so I've edited the yellow jersey image a little to try and help with that.
All styles are available to order now at Le Coq Sportif or at the Tour De France boutique
